Father's Day Recap

Here's Stephen on his birthday present from Uncle Kevin and Aunt Amy.

A Week Full of Events

Congratulations Pop Pop on reaching that special stage in your life... retirement. We know you were looking forward to getting rid of one boss and accepting a new one. We wish you lots of luck and hope to see you up this way more often now.
And Happy Birthday Grandma, we wish you lots of luck with the extra help you will have around the house. We look forward to seeing you two again soon and all of the work that you have accomplished since you will both be home together all day, all the time. Love you!

Tired, Tired Litte Boy

Today was Stephen's first day of transitioning to the 2 Year old room at Childtime. He started the day with his normal friends; but at 11am he moved up to Ms. Anita's room for the rest of the day. We got a note from Ms. Anita and she said that Stephen had a great day and had a lot of fun playing in the new room with new friends and new toys. In fact he had so much fun that after dinner tonight he was having trouble keeping his head up. Here he is trying to play cars with Daddy & Big Brother Christopher; but that noggin is just too heavy. I wonder how late he will sleep in the morning... Will we make it to 5am?

Happy Birthday

Stephen had a wonderful Birthday. We had a nice little cookout with the neighbors after work and celebrated Stephen's Birthday. And here is the Birthday Boy...

And of course no party would be complete without cake... and doughnuts for Christopher. One day I am sure he will discover that he likes cake, ice cream, and chocolate, but until that day comes mommy and daddy get to keep a lot of treats to themselves.

Tractors

Some children like to push their "babies" around in their baby carriages, Stephen likes to push his tractor around on his CAT Dump Truck. He spent a few minutes this morning giving his tractor rides around the dining room and kitchen.

Art Time

When daddy is out of town mommy likes the boys doing quieter activities. I make up for all the quiet time when I get home though.

Christopher-isms - Dairy Farms

Last year Christopher was fortunate enough to be able to spend a week at Grandma's durring the summer. While there Grandma wanted to make sure that he had an opportunity to learn about cows and Dairy Farms. So Christopher and Grandma went to a local Dairy Farm and got the free tour. After Christopher was back home he told us about the exciting things he got to do at Grandma's and all that he had learned. I was slightly concerned once he told me about the Dairy Farm experience. He was very excited to tell us that "Cows like to eat salads, and that they eat Salad with their four mouths" (for those who may not know, cows eat silage, and they have four stomachs). He was certain that he had it right and that we were wrong. Oh well, I guess that is close enough, of course I promptly called grandma to find out what she had been teaching my boy.

Christopher and I like going on youtube on occasions to look up tractors, trains, fire engines, ladder trucks, fireboats, airplanes, and space shuttles. You can actually find some rather fun and interesting stuff on there if you are careful how you surf. Below is a video we found about silage that Christopher and I thought was pretty cool and had nice background music.
