Who is Who?

So... three pictures of three different babies... Can you figure out which one is which? Answers will be posted on the weekend. (the pictures are numbered, but it doesn't reflect their birth order!) Good luck!

Week One

Michael took care of the first posting...its now been 1 week since Caitlynn popped into our lives. Things are still crazy and we have no idea how things are going to go tomorrow. For now I am going to make sure I can stay awake until Christopher gets home from school and try really hard to have dinner warmed up and on the table when Michael and Stephen get home. After that, hopefully we will all get some sleep tonight.

New Arrival

Welcome Caitlynn Elizabeth. Born Monday November 29th at 0748. She weighed 7 pounds and 4 ounces and was 19.7 inches long. Christopher and Stephen were very excited about her arrival. For months they have been giving baby girl hugs and kisses before going to bed at night. It was neat to see the wonder and smiles on their faces when they first saw her. We will see how long it takes for the wonder to wear off. Caitlynn and Mommy came home Thursday Morning and have had several visitors stop by to welcome the little one. A little girl in the house will be a learning experience for us all. I am sure Mommy will post later. Until then, here are some of my favorite pictures.

Baby Girl Update

No pics, just a quick update. Even though we have had contractions off and on for more than the past 4 weeks, looks like she's waiting until her scheduled delivery date to make her Grand Entrance. We are about 16 hours away from being wheeled down to the OR (around 7:30am). And the best news is that we think we have a name! But we will go ahead and keep it a secret since we are so close.

Keep an eye on your email, cells, the blog etc. Mike will be able to start spreading the word hopefully sometime mid to late morning!

Last Soccer Game

On Saturday, Christopher had his last soccer game. He was very excited to get his very own trophey afterwards. Stephen just had fun hamming it up for the camera!

And for those keeping track... We are down to 22 days until Baby Girl arrives!

Soccer & Count Down

This fall Christopher started his first organized "sport". He is playing for Green Hornets Athletics; and his team's name is the Green Dragons. It is a clinic for 5 & 6 year olds. We have practice once a week and games on Saturday. The games are on smaller fields, with only 3 players from each team on at a time. It is also coed. Christopher hasn't let that stop him from playing hard, whether its a boy or a girl. He really enjoys it.

Baby Girl is set to arrive 49 days from tomorrow. :)

End of Summer

The boys ended the summer on a high note with a camping trip with Daddy to Deep Creek Lake. They went with some friends of ours, Jason and his daughter Maggie. The two Moms thought it best to stay home. :)
Christopher has learned to ride a two wheeler, gotten ready to start Kindergarten, and gotten a little braver when playing in the water.
Stephen has made some great improvements in his potty training (we are so close...), he has learned to ride a two wheeler with training wheels, and as of this weekend... He is Pacey Free!
Hopefully our Fall will be a calm and relaxing one. Baby Girl is due in about 3 months.

Beach Vacation - Ocean and Pool - Surfside, SC

The boys had a lot of fun this year at the beach. They weren't too nervous about getting into the water even though the surf was a little rougher than we were used to. The waves weren't very high, but there was a lot of undertow.

Stephen had a lot of fun in the waves, but wasn't quite ready to let go of your hand. (He's smiling, but look at that little fist clenched tight!)

Both boys had a lot of fun "surfing" on the inflatable raft. Christopher and Daddy actually rode some waves in from the deeper water.

After a few hours at the beach, we would be ready to come back and cool off in the pool at the rental house. Stephen really seemed like he wanted to swim, kicking his legs and getting his arms moving. Christopher waited until the last day to remember that he actually LIKED jumping in the water and going under.

Both Boys ended on a high note jumping off the side to Daddy and Pop-pop.

Beach Vacation - Water Park - Surfside, SC

Here are some shots from the "water cameras" we took with us to the water park. I have a ton of other digital pictures to sort through too so there may be another post later.

Daddy got to ride the Lazy River with Stephen, and the white water express with Christopher.

This year Christopher was tall enough to ride most of the rides, and he showed no fear. He wanted to ride the super fast slides (he rode both of the green tubes in the top picture) and he rode the H2O racers with Daddy and Uncle Alan (bottom picture, Chris is in far left lane.) Christopher really wanted to ride the two tall slides that didn't even fit in the top picture but he wasn't quite tall enough yet for those.

Halfway There

Michael, Christopher, and I had a very exciting Friday morning. Christopher was running a pretty good fever due to a soon to be diagnosed ear infection; so he couldn't go to school. All three of us went for the momentous 20 week ultrasound. The tech did all kinds of measurements and was also able to make a pretty good guess as to what we were going to have.

She was confident enough to put it in writing...

Christopher and Stephen are going to have a Baby Sister!

Unfortunately our scanner is currently not working, so I can't post a picture from the ultrasound. But I will try to later this week.

But we are also half way to the finish line, 20 out of 4o weeks. A little over half considering Baby Girl Nunn will probably be delivered just after 39 weeks via repeat c-section.

Christopher Rides His Bike

Christopher started off the summer with a really big goal...To learn to ride a two-wheeler! With a little over 2 weeks of almost nightly practice with Daddy, Christopher is now able to ride his bicycle by himself from a standing start. Stephen's also been doing a lot of practice with his new big boy bike he got for his birthday. He asked that we take off his training wheels too; but we told him he needed to wait a little longer.

The Graduate!

In June, Christopher graduated from preschool at Childtime Learning. He got to march in with his classmate, say the Pledge of Allegiance, and sing songs.

Then he got his diploma from his teacher Ms. Shannon.

Mommy and Daddy are very proud of their graduate, and are very excited to start the next adventure, Kindergarten, in August.

Rome - Final Post - Pompeii

Our day trip to Pompeii didn't quite go as planned. Our semi-private tour was cancelled so we had to reschedule for a more traditional bus tour. The tour also included a stop in Naples. We only had a few hours in the ruins in Pompeii, but it was amazing the detail and colors that were preserved in the frescoes and floor tiles. The burial of the city occurred back in 79AD and was not seriously excavated until almost 1750. A lot of the structures were still recognizable. Such as market stalls, the main forum, baths, and amphitheater.

Rome - 4th Installment

We visited St. Peter's Basilica a few times over the 10+ days we were in Rome. We were able to schedule a visit to the Necropolis in advance and we got to talk to a Swiss Guard at one of the gates. (Even in the stripped uniforms they are impressive) We also spent one afternoon touring the Vatican Museum. We didn't get to see everything, but as much as we could in one visit. We also went back a few times to see the Piazza and Basilica lit up against the night sky.
The scale of the Basilica is amazing. It has the largest interior of any Christian church, holding over 60,000 people. The sculptures and artwork that decorate it are of a scale to match. Bernini's Baldacchino is almost 100 feet tall. One of the chapels to the right of the main entry also holds the famous sculpture by Michelangelo, the Pieta.
