Caitlynn tried a lot of new foods this weekend. Meatloaf, Pomegranate, blueberry pie. She also realized that some things taste better with a dip.

 Stephen decided that rakes weren't going to cut it. It was time for the serious machinery.

And there is just something disturbing about this....

 Christopher did get at least one crazy jump into our massive pile of leaves.

Again, there is something a little scary about the look on her face... What is she going to do what that?

Last Weekend of September

 We had another busy weekend. There were soccer games....But we forgot the cameras.  We also had a lot of fun on Sunday with a bike ride down the B&A Trail.  We drove farther down to a Park-n-Ride and the mounted up and rode to the very end of the trail; round trip about 7 miles. Not bad for two adults tugging 2 kids of about 35lbs each and a 7 year old that is riding a bike without any gears. :)

And that is the sleep we all wish we could have. She was one tired little girl.

Mile post Zero. We started at mile post 3.5. And the trail is deceptive. It is most definitely NOT flat!

Where did the Summer go?

So, after a great start to the summer, we got busy and I stopped posting. And Michael wasn't picking up the slack either!  We are now solidly into the craziness of the fall and we will have even less time.  Yesterday was packed full with errands, shopping, two soccer games, etc.  We also tried out a "third wheel" that we are borrowing from our friends the Alt's.  The result was a 5+ mile trek on the B&A Trail.

 Stephen was doing his part for most of the ride. I could definitely tell when he was and wasn't pedaling.

And then Christopher passed us.... :-)

No idea when we (meaning I) will have time to post next; but hopefully we will have more soccer pictures and possibly from the MD Renn Faire all coming up next weekend!

Summer - with a Vengeance

 On the first 100 degree day of the summer, Caitlynn wanted to wear a hat. But not just any hat. Her fleece puffball winter hat. That's my girl.

 Michael and the boys braved the heat for a camping trip to Cunningham Falls State Park in Thurmont, MD. Caitlynn and I drove out on Saturday to spend the day with them.

 

 

 

 Yes, Caitlynn had quite a bit of fun at the camp site. She loved all of the gravel and thought this chair needed a make-over.

 When she's older we won't be posting pictures of her bottom... But this was too good to pass up.

Month of May - Ready for Summer!

 Walking like an Egyptian? Or just a rock star? Not sure but he was pretty psyched about the rain boots.

 

 We found out one weekend that Caitlynn just LOVES sidewalk chalk.  Turn out that is why her knees were getting all scratched up in school. She also tried her first juice box; this was quickly followed by her wearing the the juice. And of course, a long day is always topped off by a doze in the sun.

Michael helped out a lot with the baseball team this year; whatever needed done including running the pitching machine.

 Caitlynn took some time to study the cool trike; but wasn't too sure about it... What she did want was Stephen's two wheeler.

Christopher is skin and bones these days. He eats a lot, but burns through it so fast.

Caitlynn had a lot of fun in the water too. I don't think she ate too many soap bubbles.

Car washing rapidly became get everyone soaked time.  Caitlynn and the boys had a blast with the impromptu sprinkler courtesy of Daddy.

Caitlynn really did think it was the funniest thing ever. She just stood there sometimes with her tongue sticking out, licking up the water.

Cherub Choir - Sunday May 6, 2012

Stephen has been singing all year with the Cherub Choir at church. At their first performance he stood very still, but did not sing. Now he sings out loud and proud! That's my boy!

From December to May - What happened?

I can't believe we haven't posted since December! I guess the downside to having lots of things to blog about; is that you just don't have any time to write the blogs! We have had a crazy busy winter and spring with swim classes, sports (baseball for Chris and soccer for Stephen), choir practice, homework, etc. Mom and Dad have been just a bit busy at work too.  We will try to do a little better in the future, but for now here are a few shots from Christopher's baseball games this weekend. I will try posting again with video from Stephen's Cherub Choir performance this morning.
